About Us

Graeme and Corrie Asch built their home in Leiper’s Fork in 1998. One year later, they opened The Franklin Mercantile Deli in Historic Downtown Franklin, TN. They both come from large, southern families with great cooks. Graeme grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and likes his food to have more “zing”. Corrie grew up in Dickson, Tennessee and loves baking desserts and cooking “southern comfort” foods. The combination creates the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  They love living in the country with their children and love being a part of Historic Downtown Franklin. Come by and see them!

Testimonials

“You and your staff have worked so hard and we really appreciate it. This is the reception I always dreamt of – intimate, casual and full of southern charm and the Merc was the perfect location!”

Libby

“The Franklin Mercantile was the perfect setting for our son’s rehearsal dinner. Blue mason jars filled with fresh daisies, Queen Anne’s Lace and American Flags atop white table linens really set the romantic, intimate, casual vibe Stuart wanted. The guests raved about the dinner choices and your staff was wonderful to work with. Stuart’s bride commented the evening was “exceptional”, guests had a great evening and we had a wonderful experience.”

Angie & Lance

“Thank you for all you did to make Hannah & Andy’s wedding celebration so much fun. The food at the rehearsal dinner was wonderful. All of the guests loved the Heaven Cake dessert. Thanks for all the planning and preparation you put into it. We feel very blessed.”
